These work out at 180 pounds, i've seen a lot of people use these rods, so whats the catch? Which shells would i need to use with them? Thanks

There's not a catch with these rods, IIRC the forgings are made in China and the machining is done in America. Bear in mind you won't get them for £180, you'll have to add shipping, duty at about 4% and VAT on the whole lot.

These are 5.483" c-c, the ones in burtons are slightly shorter they list Farndon rods for the early zetec at 5.36" c-c so I would think there is a difference in length, but if the B.E and S.E sizes are the same Im sure you could machine the piston crown to the desired compresion ratio (forged pistons with unfinished crown) :D
I was looking into these but didnt want to shell out another £500 on pistons to fit these :(

i am currently using these rods in my zvh with je pistons but i had to use a de-comp plate because my comp ratio with the cvh 57cc head worked out to be 8:4:1, so i used a 1.2mm plate to give me a comp ratio of 7:8:1. due to the boost i want to run and the fact that the pistons i used crown were quite thin i could only take 1mm off the top. i brought my rods and pistons from here http://www.nolimitmotorsport.com :D :D
