Well and the fact he thinks it can do 140mph, out run a scooby from satndstill and also produce 190bhp from i would think a completely std engine....

Yes i would agree, mk3's are dying out... but dying bread, that they are not!

All in all i can conclusivly say the owner is a first rate plank and the car has been thrashed to an inch of its life! which is a shame as it could of been a tidy car....

Describing it as an "eBay beauty" automatically brings the connotations that the car is ugly or badly maintained. If you want to scrutinise the owner, why don't you phone him up to find out what modifications have been done or what engine is in the car before bitching on a forum about it?

If you know for a fact that its all lies, then:

1. What engine is in the car?
2. Whats the mileage?
3. Is it turbocharged/supercharged?

I can understand that the spelling in the advert isn't fantastic, but to be honest I've seen far, far worse. How can you tell that the owner is a plank and the car has been thrashed? How do you know for a fact that the guy selling it hasn't taken it in part exchange and is going on what the previous owner has told him about the car?

Obviously I'm open to debate here, but at the end of the day nobody here knows anything about the history of the car, so nobody can say for certain whats happened to it.

Oh forget it. All I was trying to say is the car didn't look too bad, contrary to the subject title.
