Your car will run leaner ...... so im guessing you might lose power. Running lean is not good for your engine either.

the old ekotec question!
when will they stop selling them lol
apparently the little amount of air it lets in is agitated and allows a better swirl and mix with the fuel.... based on f1 techno or somet.
the car wont run lean [ERRR] the ecu adjusts the fuelling as the lambda senses the misture is too weak... so effectivley you are getting a slight effect of fitting a bigger throttle body or air filter.... well kind of
in effect therefore- more air = more fuel = more fuel to be burnt = bigger bang!

I think they were designed for use on carb'd engines and may have had an effect on them, I read something somewhere that indicated someone got maybe a couple more mpg on some thirsty twin carb setup. The exact details escape me
For injected engines they're bad news - you want air in the fuel rail messing with your injector efficiency and running your engine lean? er, no thanks...

I had one on my 1.1 when i bought it
with it tightened all the way in and effectively turned off, the car was dog slow, and uses a fair amount of petrol for what it was.
when i adjusted the valve to do its funky thang, as per the insturctions on there website, the car was just as slow, used just as much petrol but now made a noise like a whoopie cushion or a duck quack on overrun, and the disturbance to the vacuum made the brake servos assist excessive.
if i had spent £10 on it, id be gutted, let alone the £45 they cost new
