Is this some kinda miracle bolt-on gizmo that really works or is it a load of hype about nothing? I have to say their website http://www.ecotekplc.com is very convincing and the mags seem to love it aswell, but has anyone got any real experience of it? If it is really as good as they make it out to be i think i'll hav to buy myself a late xmas pressie!

Looks like a load of sh!t to me!!!! I first saw it and though if this thing is so amazing and does all it says it doesm, whi don't manufacterers fit them as standard? and why in their millions and millions of pounds worth of research into engine design did they moss out on it???

then I read "It works by creating turbulence in the inlet manifold"

I thought riiiiiiight. Possibly its some kinda joke????

It might work, but it's definitely not worth the £.

Spunk the money on Shell Optimax instead

Yeah I got one. I got it free for reviewing it on my site http://fiestamods.8m.com along with the cool PiperCross silencer unit

It's not bad, you notice a little difference but you really have to get it set up on rolling road to notice a difference.

Yeah i found it to make a little difference in the throttle response. i got mine second hand for fifteen quid . it also gives about 30-40 more miles to the tank. But it isnt enough to merit the brand new price. If you can get one second hand

Not this again!!.....dont bother with it........a waste of money!!!

They admit on the web site it will make your car run more lean.....which is NOT good for any car and how they say this can make your engine run cooler i have know idea

It also mentions gas flowed heads, well how many people have a gas flowed head ? the people that do should know that you only polish/port the exhaust part and the inlet gets ported only. I still wouldn't fit a Ecotek.
If you dont have a gas flowed head the std engine will make enough "disturbance" when the air and fuel meet and they will mix well enough.

The Ecotek is just a way to baffle youg people who dont know a lot about engines etc... to part with their cash!!
Remember the Turbo Zet ? that was a good waste of money....who bought one ?

I've got one. Don't notice much difference, but if u do get one, get the silencer aswell. I aint got the silencer and the cb26p sounds crap. Not worth the money though in my opinion.
