ecu query

how can you visually tell the difference between the 105ps ecu from an xr2i to the 130ps out of an rs1800?? reason being is in the service book on my new car, there is some information about an uprated ecu that was fitted last year, and im curious to know which one it is! any help greatly appreciated, cheers thorny

Take out the ecu and look for the four digital code.

rs1800 will be called cult late spec anyway 94-95

you should be able to read the code on the ecu, without taking it out,
just look under the dash on passenger side, little white sticker with a code,
rs1800 late ecu tends to be "cult"
early rs1800 is "also"

ye ive already looked m8! it has no stickers on it that i can see without taking it off! i think it may just be chipped as it has a added bit on the bottom of the unit, not 100% sure though!
