ECU remapping
Does anyone know where I could get an OFAB motorcraft ECU mapped... darn Sarf, preferably. I spent an evening at Northampton Motorsport last night. Great bunch of people but, they can only map aftermarket ECU's (like Weber Alpha or Omex) at the moment. They have just received the kit to do the Motorcraft gear but, they need to learn how to use the software first and I'm looking for more options.
Do the guys (or ladies) who have upgraded from T2's to T3 turbo's had their Ford ECU remapped or just left it alone and plugged a chip into it?
Thanks,
Neil

Hi James,
What exactly does it do? Does it just take the restrictions off the ECU, so it will allow bigger boost? Does it change any air/fuel ratio's or is it completely mapable on a rolling road?
I don't want (nor can afford) to buy an aftermarket ECU at the moment. Though, the Megasquirt sounds fun, especially as the guy who makes them is a distant friend-of-sorts, and I already have the EDIS4 it needs.
I've got a chip that came with the ECU. It wasn't plugged in at the time and it has the word OFAB written on it. I forgot to ask what it was, when I bought the ECU. There's no fancy cover on it. Just a circuit-board and a few chips.
Thanks,
Neil
