Electric Guitar Advice

Postby Percy! on Sat Jun 06, 2009 4:35 pm

Ok I currently own a very cheap electric guitar, I bought it to see if I actually had a chance of learning. As it is I am doing well and have decided to take it further to which a new guitar is needed.

The problem is I have no idea what makes a good guitar, so I am looking around and don't know what to go for, I am aware that as with most products there can be lessor known names making amazing guitars so name isn't important to me.

I am playing rock music really (well trying).

I have found this one:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vintage-Zip-Retro-Guitar-All-Wilkinson-Hardware-Black_W0QQitemZ300320627613QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV?hash=item45ec811b9d&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262&_trkparms=|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A30

Would it be any good? The ebay shop there is actually quite close to me and they where really helpful when buying a guitar for my nephew, they would be happy for me to try a few so have a look on there listings if anything stand out.

Price wise I don't know what is reasonable so dare I say the cheaper the better?

Ive always been a fan of Fender.

Ive had a fender mustang for ages. My brother gave me it and ive never really used it and eventually someone told me it was an amazing guitar and worth a bit. Still got it till this day though :)

Not sure I can afford a Fender or Gibson or such like, as much as they are great guitars.
