Engine change question

I have bought the GF a 1 litre H reg MK3 fiesta but also have a 1.3 j reg fiesta that failed MOT on body work will the 1.3 engine and gearbox fit stright in to the 1 litre fiesta or is there more involved?

easy change, aslong as they are both cfi engines not on Carb. swap engines and the ecu and should run ok. Wont see much of a power increase as the 1.1 has about 50bhp and the 1.3 has about 60bhp.

the 1.0 (999c) litre is a carb not sure on the 1.3 will check tonight will that make a difference?

yes youll need fuel tank lines wiring and pump plus all the engine bits and youll notice one hell of a difference :devil:

H plate is carb, so as above you'll need to swap the entire loom, fuel tank and lines and everythign else you can see.

OR..you could re-jet the 1.1 carb.

yeah that car doesnt need to pass the new emissions rules does it so yeah should be ok

You sure the 1.3 isn't carb too? If it's only a J-plate, chances are it is.
