Turbo Conv - £1500 - £4000 depending on whether u do the work urself or not. I've seen someone turbo a 1.8 Zetec for £900.

Yeah zetec turbo is only for people who have a lot of money and can pay someone to do it, or if u are handy at engine building then you could probably considerably reduce the costs by having a go yourself but at some point expensive management setup is needed. I know people on here have done it so somebody must know more? :D

turbo zetec will turn out to be alot of money considering u have to modify the engine to accept the turbo, then modify it even more to get more power out of it...once all thats done, u have to make sure all the fuelling is up to spec...and more than likly gonna have to spend mega money just for the fuelling and a correct map. To find out how much just for the map, ask Sunny howmuch he has to pay for a mapping session!

howmuch can u do the cossie conversion for?? im sure the zetec turbo option will be cheaper than that??

Sunny's original 2.0ZVH motor that he had for ages used to run std zetec cast pistons, and ran for 90k miles i believe 100% reliably. And at even 10psi, it was a weapon (videos confirm this).

For a 16v engine, cast pistons are not an option, as std ones will have a CR that is FAR FAR too high for turbo usage (9.8:1).
