Engine flat spot

Postby Matt L on Tue Nov 18, 2003 10:57 am

I've just changed my 1.1L engine for a xr2 1.6. I've drove a xr2 before and my cars no way near as fast! The mechanic said it's got a flat spot and that it might sort its self out after a few days otherwise he might have to look at the carb for blockages. does any1 no any thing about this subject + how much would it cost to rewire the whole car as the mechanic didnn't relly do a good job of that either!

as long as all the fuelling and ignition setup from the xr was used I dont see why wiring would be that much of a problem..Sometimes its best to take a transplant job to a rolling road for a diagnostic before you blow it up!
Fear is standard brakes
