Engine Mount

Postby Fezzy_Mad on Tue Dec 03, 2002 12:00 am

Wasnt sure where to post this but this seems the best place, I had a broken engine mount which made my Fezzy pretty nasty to drive, as the last thing u want is your engine lifting and dropping back down every time u pull away to quick. But now ive had it fixed the car handles abit wierd the steering feels heavy and I think its pulling to the left abit. As this is my first car and the engine mount has alwayz been broke I dont know wot my fezzy should be handling like does this sound normal or is there some thing up?

Don't mean to teach a grandmother to suck eggs (where does that saying come from?!!) but are the front tyres at the right pressures? If the left one is low it will pull to the left.
Also getting the tracking checked and after a run see if the front left brakes are really hot. If so you may have a sticking caliper.

I had 2 broken engine mounts in my mk2 1.1

Worst thing I have had happen to a car (except when my 1.1 died  )
You would accellerate away and as soon as your foot touvhed the clutch - BANG! Feels like you've hit a speed bump at high speed. Anyway, I had them fixed but had no probs with car handling?? :-?
