Engine suggestion..

Postby AndyBlackFRST on Tue Feb 15, 2005 2:20 pm

I should have my car running by the end of this week...

But need some advice on a few things.

Spec is

Standard bottom end
Standard head
Piper cam
Vernier
Beige injectors
Cossie pump
195 collins chip
Stage2 T3 turbo

Boost.. Was going to run at 7psi.. but been told can run 10-12 fine with this kinda setup

Chip - Should I run it til I get it setup (about 2 weeks) or leave it out and use it then

Setting up.. Who around SW London would set the fueling up properly... ideally would prefer a RR setup so its all on diagnostics equipment.

Thanks

Andy

Hi andy...you could try Power Engineering... if not take a trip to Grove Garage? the problem with RR setup's is that they dont simulate a real road and real conditions...if you can...try to stretch for a custom map...that way you know things are safe!

IMO, u will be able to run more boost however the intercooler is the soft spot if its standard as anything more and the ACT's will be through the roof

i know people running 16-18psi on similar setups :)

Andy i would leave it until you've set the fuelling up. I'd say just pop into Power Engineering and get it done.

10 - 12psi should be more than enough fun and keep things reliable
