Didn't have to mess around with pats on mine either. You should have no problems at all.

Try and get the 2.0L from a mondeo at a scrapyard. This way you can take the engine complete(with all manifolds, throttle body etc etc)

Then all you need to do is put your 1600 sump on the 2.0L engine and put it all in.

Not forgetting to replace the 1600 ECU with the new one!

Use the 130ps inlet manifold, or 105ps if you can't get the 130ps ones. The Si inlet manifold is slightly more restrictive (about 4mm narrower per strake at a guess going on the difference between Fraser's Si one and his RS1800 one.

I don't know how much more restrictive the 1.6 exhaust manifold is compared to the 1.8 manifold, but I would recommend fitting the 1.8 manifold and downpipe/cat combo.

hth :)

Btw, you can run the car on the Si ECU although I believe the 1.6 ECU and possibly injectors aren't up to the job, so fit the Mondeo ones.

i was going to get the inlet manifold of the mondeo... would that fit??? and for exhaust... i dunno [ERRR] the sceane is there... [ERRR] will actually fit! eventually i will get a 421 maniold... but i need summink for now.. will the mondeo one fit or will the si have to do!?????? as far as i know ill have to do the following....

change ecu (plugs straight in!?)
loom (fits as well!?)
put the engine in there!
sort the inlet and outlet manilfods out!(help!!)
put the 1.6 sump from my Si on to the 2L!???
dunno about gearboxes? i was going to use my 1.6 box as it will b faster?
i heard summink about a crank sensor?????? help!
and any thing ellse i have missed!?

is it easier to lower the engine in there with a crane (have acess to one), or from underneith???????

i need some help but i will have a 130bhp engine in my car... any ideals on how fast they are with them in!?
