engine transplant....
Right basically im thinking of doin a project car, and was wondering wot fiestas (1.1, 1.3 etc) come with the same engine mounts as the FRST? also do engine mounts need to fabricated for the 2.0 lump???? Also are there any good companys in essex that would do it??

Who supplys that service, surely any garage could do it?? really considering it now, once i sell my car. FMS is near me so they could supply the parts. Any good garages round here?
Also, what is the best 2.0 lump to go for as i know theres a few different ones?????

yeah any garage should be able to do it
best bet is a 1.6 si for the conversion. its pretty much a straight swap. the best engine for you to put in would be the series 2 lump out of a mondeo ghia.

LX, GLX, Si, Ghia, Ghia X... the engines are the same, or are they not?

but ghias are one insurance group less than the others so if your insurance group is basing your new insurance on the rating of the original car, then you will be paying less. of course you could probably just say it was out of a ghia, and you'd be alright
