the parts shouldn't come to too much - uprated brakes, suspension etc. then the engine, ecu, loom, g'box, perhaps mount, perhaps tank/lines etc...
as for putting it in ....
i've just been quoted 1000 fudgekin quid to fit a 1.6 in my 1.1.

any other options?

Assuming yours is carb, you'd be better off with a carbed 1.4 or 1.6 engine. to stick a 2i lump in you'd need to convert the fuel lines for injector feeds, or something like that.

you would need a fuel return line, and a fuel pump/tank from a 2i, rs or si.

youde need the loom, the ecu, and a haynes

then the lump

engine mounts

you can keep the gearbox you have.
