yes they fit perfectly but you need to spend about £50+ on 1994 onwards escort xr3i disks and you get a car which stops a little too fast, preetty cool tho when you out brake stuff tho. not cool when your pedal goes spongy

you just need to be ready for a totally different feel of brakes, they end up quite soft and you need to push the brake about 1 inch before it does anything significant, do it then i wont be the only person with it

did you buy ll cool jays xr2i replica?

can anyone shed some light on the exchanging of Master cylinder and servo??
I have read its the mk5 escort one, but does this mean any mk5 and is it a straight swap or is re-piping needed??
cheers

The Escort RST callipers are a bit, well, poop. :-? If you're going to mess about fitting brakes you might as well do it so it's worthwhile.

Do better fitting Cossie callipers and discs as these will handle pretty much whatever you throw at them.

what about mondeo calipers, i dont want to go for the cossy ones. Not real need at the mo and they weigh so much.

Agian not better enough to warrant the grief. Up to about 150bhp I would use the stock brakes with the ABS removed and a decent disc and pad swap (Tarox 20 groove discs and Mintex pads). After 150bhp you really can't beat the Cossie kit. You can look at AP, Brembo, Wilwood etc if weight is a worry but those kits will cost a fair wedge

ok, think i will stick with what i have. I doubt i am near 150bhp yet so standard set up will work.
Just need some mintex pads.
thanks (sorry for stealing post for a min)

actually they work quite good on the fiesta, im quite aware that on the erst the brakes are shocking bu they work more than well enough for me and are still good even compared to other more modern cars ive driven
the bite is shocking but you can headbutt the wondscreen whilst braking if you panic when someone pulls out on you.

compared to cossie disks yes your right but its an option for people with wheels <15"

yes will someone please tell us about escort master cylinder on the fiesta too

The reason they feel not as good as more modern cars is down to the heavily over servo'd brakes on newer cars.

~nomad~ ran a Mk5 Escort master cyclineder with great results. iirc some welding was needed to the cylinders bar to shorten it and the mountings on the bulkhead needed miodifying.
