i think u have to run an efi head and inlet maniefold and then it will all plum in to your fiesta as be for. i know the bottom ends r the same but the heads r different as the escort head has no cut outs for the injectors to run efi . so i would put the fiesta head and inlet on the escort bottom end and u shold b ok. hope this helps chris

You'll need a hole drilling or an additional plate with trigger wheel for the CPS and either an EFI adapter plate of EFi head and cam (don't forget the FRST cam pulley is different to the XR item)
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

i would stick to the fiesta stuff its got to be easyer than mucking around the escort lump. but u can still use a t3 turbo as well if u want with a little bit of converting its not hard to do at all the only bit that is, is the exsorst. hope this helps.

it can b done but i would use the fiesta turbo head and if u use the escort bottom end it would make the t3 conversion easy the only things u would have to do is move the rad foword a bit and mod the down pipe.

If you already have a 2i you can just whip the head straight off and use it on the ERST bottom end. All you will need is the cam pulley from the RST (as it runs with more retard than the n/a one) and sort the CPS out.

Tha standard 2i cam is the same as the FRST item. In fact the head, cam valves, inlet, injectors are all the same as the stock FRST items it's just the cam pulley that differs between the two

You'll need a complete FRST exhaust. If you convert to the T3 fromthe Escort you will also need an Escort downpipe and a mate who's handy with a welder.
The CPS is located just about he starter motor on the block on the gearbox flange

The Escort block doesn't have the hole as it doesn't use one.
Which reminds me you'll also need to use your EFi flywheel as teh Escort item doesn't have the timing marks for the same reason.
Fiesta uses EEC-IV (OFAB or OFAC)
Escort uses Bosch KE-Jetronic

My run's fine well up to 140mph haven't gone past that yet I used my old block as a template to show me where the hole need's to be drilled the hole is about 1 inch across so it's a big hole you could use a 2i cvh engine as a template and use the sensor as there the samelachojski2005 :what sort of price should i be looking 2 pay 4 the engine, only need a standard 1 not a tunned up 1?has any 1 done it this way be 4,could do with a guide.lol.

Mine i love it but it's a 1.9 not 1.6 you won't be able to tell the differents in the frst/erst blocks when driving. I would just go for the one that looked the best or had a rebuildlachojski2005 :uprated intercooler.lol.what do you think bout the engine?

No, The XR2i and FRST share exactly the same tank and pump as standard. If the guy doing the conversion doesn't know this I would be wary of allowing him to do it.
