ERST pace intercooler fitting?

Postby StallionR on Tue Apr 20, 2004 7:01 pm

I am wondering if an escort rst pace intercooler would fit onto my fiesta rs turbo. I'm asking as I have saw a fiesta intercooler on ebay at £94 with 3 days to go but have saw a few escort pace intercoolers at a massively lower price.

Does the escort one fit straight on, will it be as useful as the fiesta part and also how much would a brand new pace intercooler cost and where from? :-? :-?

no, but with a bit of modifying and welding, it will fit
dont bother with a pace if you want to run more than 10+psi

What kind of intercooler should I get? Also how much would it cost to have the work done to my bumper in order to fit an intercooler like the one in your signature? Plus would the intercooler get easily damaged by stones and stuff from the road? :)

I'm pretty new to turbo tuning but so far my car is chipped, high lift cam and the usual breather mods. I have been told that i'm probably running aroung 12psi with the chip but obviously I can't be sure until I test it on rollers although I do want to tune the engine to produce high bhp so high psi capability would be an advantage.

Most people will advise you buy a GRS item.
