the escort gti was the only ford (or european ford) to ever be branded as a gti.

yes random. just that we have a customer that is certain her escort is a 1.6 gti. It says 1.6 gti on log book and i also hpi'd the car only for it to say 1.6 gti!!?? wtf

they definitely only made 1.8 GTi's, perhaps this one has had an engine swap at some point? Either that or the info on the HPI is wrong...

btw, you've hidden the plate at the top, but the one a bit further down has been left uncovered :wink:

nope there was a rare earlier one than the 1.8 everyone knows. which was only a gti in badge everything else on it was low spec
