Hi there peolpe, i'm very new to this site and i;m just wondering if any one could give me some info on getting the escort engine and T3 into a xr2i. I had a mint 88 s2 and some numb Bic™ drove into my car and has wrote it off :x . Because i've not that much money left after sorting my pride and joy i was wondering if any of you know how much it would cost to do the conversion? and who'll do it? I've got a clean 2i and a fully rebuilt engine with stage one turbo so all i need to know is how much to swap them over. Any help is much appreciated.

a garage should be able to perform the swap for you mate. budget about 500 quid for them to do it. or fone up and ask prices.

I,ve asked at garages round here but they're all saying it won't fit. I know the engine will fit as it's the same size, it's just the T3. I've read about the T3 conversion for the FRST saying that you have to place the intercooler and radiator on a tilt to allow extra room for the T3, but as i've got a 2i i just want to know what extra bits i'll need and for a localish company to carry the work out.
