Right, you need them from a 1.6s Mk3 fiesta '89 to bout '91 ish (f-h/early j).
Would be better getting a recon alternator from a motor factors rather than ford, bout half the price!!!
Dont forget the accelerator cable!!!!!!
Have you got the 1.4/1.6 mk3 fiesta cvh rad and pipes???

I take it that ur escort engine had esc module for it??
If so then just plug the cables off your old ones into the relivant places!
Simple!
If ur engine doesnt have esc module then all you need to do is change part of the wiring in the engine bay for a coil and plug that on to engine and sorted (from black multiplug onwards!)

No mine has a esc, but i dont think this engine has.
We modified the drivers mount to fit it i hope
Have to get new clutch disc, only for that it would have been in tonight.
Im using the origional rad until i find a cvh one.
But other than that the wireing seems to be the most trickiest, but i presume its just a case of finding which wires on mine go onto the escort 1.6

Right - if the escort engine doesnt have the esc module (or any module in the engine bay) then just take the wires from the multiplug (black one under the esc module in your engine bay - fiesta) unplug it, then from the escort unplug the coil from the same sort of multiplug and plug this into the fiesta multiplug and then wire this to the engine!
If as you said, the escort isnt edis, then it's the only wiring that the engine needs!!!
I would strongly advise AGAINST modifiying the engine mounts and botching the rad into the cvh system! The engine mounts can cause untold damage and stress' on the car!

Eloo,
The car is runnin, still usin the old rad, tryin to find a cvh rad for cheap.Exhaust sounds the bollox, and its runnin fine.
Should be on the road tomorrow night, then its off to the sprayer, for a total overhall-cossie frount, mk5 back, rs windows, kingdom k style spoiler, new doors, bad boy bonnet, one off lexus lights, rool cage, new seats, and crome stuff for the engine.

Had it runnin for 5 mins, then it cut out.
Power is goin to the distbuter but no spark, is the distrubutor managment burnt out, cause it was dead hot. Is there to much power goin to it, the coil was not hot?
Help me quickly!

Beeman,
Are you absolutely sure there's no spark??
Look down the carb venturis and pull the throttle cable - you should see a thin stream of fuel being injected in. If not you may have a fuel problem. Make sure the feed and return pipes are connected the right way round (silly I know but you need at least quarter of a tank full to suck fuel out via the return pickup).
If there is no spark, the first thing to check is the coil lead - this often arcs and allows the spark to go round the outside coil and straight to earth via the coil bracket.
Dizzy rotor arms have a habit of cracking, as do dizzy caps. Take them off and check to see if it's all fallen apart inside. A new pair shouldn't cost more than a tenner at your local motor factors.
If none of this helps, you need to do a bit of checking to find out the type of ignition management systems you have.
The earliest CVH types uses a separate spark mapping box, about 6 inches by 7 inches and about 1.5" thick. Make sure this is connected correctly, and the vacuum lines are clear, otherwise the ignition timing will be slightly out and will make the engine run rougher.
The second type has a small ignition module mounted to one side of the dizzy. This can be removed and checked.
Coil resistances in both cases should be 0.72 to 0.88 ohms at the primary (12v) side and 4500 to 7000 ohms at the HT side of tings (HT to case should work).
The engines are seriously basic and the prob is likely to be just that it needs cranking a few times to get fuel pressure up and fill the float chamber.
To check your fuel pump works, disconnect the hoses in and out, and crank the engine a few times - some fuel should spurt out (have a wet blanket handy in case you set fire to it )
Failing all that, keep cranking it or call your friendly breakdown assistance chap - worked for me!
If I was local I'd come round and help ya mate - sorry this is all I can do for ya
