Still waiting on the reply about cossie rims

But, ive removed the rubstrips from the doors, which meant tedious removal of glue and 10 years of grime! Then i painted the tow eye cover 'roll cage' white so its completely wrong but better than missing one, and then gave it another bloody good clean. The paint is starting to come good eventually too.
I've also located a GTi interior and skirts for a bargain price but i'm not sure if its worth the 260 odd mile round trip to collect them :-?

anyhows, a few pics

Right, i wasn't happy with the way it sat after the Spax springs were fitted, so now the 50mm fronts are fitted with, ahem,"custom" rear springs to drop the back 50mm too  instead of the 40mm the spax supposedly dropped it ,even though it was more like 20mm.

So heres how it sits now
Image

But then yeaterday i stubled upon a set of genuine MK5 RS2000 side skirts for the bargain sum of £20!

So yesterday afternoon i fitted them.........

And now its booked in at the bodyshop next monday to get the rear bumper, sideskirts, front bumper, doors up to the swage line and rear arches done.

Me saying "this is just a runabout and its staying as it is" seem a distant memory now!

I'm using Tony Youdale in Brigg matey. He does it for right money and does a decent job. He did all the bodywork/painting on My old Blue Fiesta and i couldn't fault it.

Do do the Escort bumpers, sideskirts, door and wing bottoms and rear arches hes charging £250. Thats with mates rates and trade discount but if you tell him i sent you he will see you right

And Johnny boy, I'm still using the Spax front springs and the rear ones might come in to use at some time. I was a bit dissapointed with the rear Spax's to be honest because it hardly lowered it. just made it a bit bumpier. In all honesty it drives better with the setup i've got at the moment
