Is anyone from FT.com going to the European Ford Event at Megaland, Holland on 14th September? (excluding Jur )

The FCGB will be there with 10 to 12 cars.

I've always fancied going to this show, but it's quite a way to go!

From the other side of the tunnel it is 200 miles to the hotel, 4 miles to the show and 90 miles to the Nurburgring. I live in Kent so it is not to far, Swindon is a bit of a trek. We do have members from Devon, East Anglia and the Midlands coming for the 5 day trip.

that's what I mean, it's a good 2.5/3 hours to the tunnel at least. I'll do it one day though as it looks like a great show.

It is a shame you are in a different hotel this year. I am an XROC member as well and went on their first trip to the EFE in 1999. Will see you at the show.

It's a great show.... and here in holland.
And for the UK people,not even THAT far ... for comparisson: We've driven all the way to silverstone for 'just' the Ford Fair venue... (ok.. and the beers at the campsite)

It's a very nice venue, been there .. well missed just 2 of the last 9 years..
It might be not as big as FordFair, but it's well worth the trip. You'll see VERY different cars compared to the UK ones. German style, Euro style.. etc..

There's a sprint, a slalom, concourse, traders (new and 2nd hand) and loads of club stands, incl FiestaclubGB, Fiestaclub.NL, Several regional Ford-Teams.
People from all over europe come to this venue.
Dutch, German, Belgian, Luxembourgh, Denmark, france, italy, austia, switserland... and of course some of you guys (and galls)

and the trip from the ferry.. is peanuts compared to the distances in the UK (-: ..

Hi there Dave,

I'm from Near Rotterdam. And there are not that many RS'es in Holland.. Ford isn't the nr one mark, as in the UK.. appart from that .. our FRST register only counts 35 RSes.. of which some are not there any more.

The weather forcast.. 60% chance of sun.. 10% chance of rain 16 - 18 degrees C.. wind .. 3bft. .. so looks good.

But where are you staying in Holland then ??

We also went to the Ring and whilst filling up for petrol met Sabine Schmit in the station. Good to see she drives a Range Rover Vogue!

The venue was great again (-: .. even more cars.... and lovely weather.
A bit cold in the morning and a bit windy.. but dry all day (-: and loads of sun.. so .. yeah .. the 60% sun won ..

Did have (or take) time to view all the cars on the site.... but the quality of cars rises every year (-:
Nice to see and speak the guys and gals from FCGB ...

Didn't buy a lot of things (just some autoglym polish)...

See you next year .. either @ FITP or @ the european ford event in Holland..

Jur, im from wijk aan zee mate. if i bring the turbo over next week i will prob drive past if your around!? if not i will be towing it over in october/november and starting the zetec!
