hiya guys, just wondering, what difference does exuast pipe size make on a zetec with a t25 turbo.

at the moment mine is 2'', im going to be getting either 2.5'' or 3'' exhuast system made up tomo, but am not sure [ERRR] size will be best for performance?ive read, going too big will not be good for the performance

also what would it do to the exhuast note, if anything?

thanks

No, exahust diameters make less of a difference on turbo cars, most of the backpressure is built between the turbo and manifold. This is why more power is available on turbo cars just by increasing exahust system diameter. I think my mongoose system is 3' and thats on a T2.

Edit - Exahust note will depend depending on system, my mongoose burbles deeply on idle and is only loud when giving it some beans.

i was told that 3'' is good when youre at 300+ hp?
