Exhaust Problems, Which Back Box? 1.6 Si

Postby McGoo 69 on Sat Mar 17, 2007 5:47 pm

Right ive got a M reg Fiesta Si 1.6

Im looking for a new back box to fill up the gap whats left from where ive put a zetec-s bumper on

Ive been to 3 shops todday and i dont know what to do.

I have 2 choices so far,

A carbon 4" Dragon Racing Sport universal fit back box with all the gear and brakets i would need to make it fit for about £95

Or

A Peco Jap style 4" slash/straight burnt tip direct fit for my car £140

Now im stuck with what what to go for? what do people think of each of these exhausts? or is there any better makes to suit my car?

Im not looking for a loud exhaust and i dont want something that will reduce speed?

I want something that will fill my zetec-s bumper and give it a nice tone.

Any help appriciated.

Matty

In general i'd steer clear from 'Universal' parts because they tend to be more hassel than there worth, and at £95 its not exactly cheap. Out of the two I'd favour the Peco one but have you priced up a Magnex exhaust? They tend to cost abit more than most but are defiently worth it but IIRC the SI backback is only £140, same as Peco.

Also am dropping you a PM

yeh fair point on the universal box's

im going to go down to one last shop as my mate knows the guy who owns it and can do me any universal back boax for £130 inc fitting.

Hes got a range of 30 back box's to choose from so theres gotta be sumit i like.

If not ill jst get the peco as id rather get the exhaust thru a shop rather than over the internet as its a fair sum of cash ill be giving away.

Just makes refunds/warrenty easier too
