Nope! The bottom of the down pipe is in different places depending on the engine type (HCS, CVH and Zetec) and whether or not it has a Cat (meow).

Why do you ask?

If you wanna fit, for example, an FRST exhaust to a 1.3, you'll need to have some welding done at the down-pipe to centre-section join.

eqraz :could i put a frst backbox on an xr2i?

Yes you can, but you will need a sleeve to connect the back box to the system as there is a difference in diamater, as sihart-frst said.

But the shape is the same, so will fit. As i sold my old back box to a MK3 fezzy van owner ;)

cheers :)
