as long as the fuel is fed to the fuel rail at the correct pressure then there is no reason why you can not fit an external pump, you may well need to fit a lift pump and then a swirl pop to remove any air from the line before the actual high pressure pump but there is no reason why it can be done.

as for an escort turbo pump im not sure if that would be the best option but it may well work...

best bet is to get on a forum for mk1/2 escorts and see how they fit fuel injected engines in them and take that as inspiration.

the pump is lower than the tank so a lift pump and or air bubles is probably out the way and the tank outlet is at the bottom of the tank as well. the pump im thinking of is rated @ 195ltr/hr @ 3bar. dont know what standard (for the sake of argument) a fiesta rs turbo pump is rated at? :-?

cheers! :)
