Faceplate/Fascia thing doesn't sit in properly...
The CD Player is so heavy that it weighs down at the back and pushes the faceplate thing I bought from halfrauds (£15!!) when I put my foot down. It gave me some thing it's supposed to rest on but I can't figure it out at all. I know others will have this problem 'cause my friend just got a zetec s and it happens to him.
Advice appreciated

Did you not get a metal bar with your HU? I thought that was a support to screw on to hold the unit to somewhere on the dash to keep it the correct distance etc...

Yeah I got the little bar it should rest on, but can't for the life of me figure out where it latches onto.

Mate had this problem on his Escort with a Sony HU in. HU came with thing that screwed into the back of it, but it didn't reach far enough back to support it. We used a plastic thing which held the factory stereo up in my 1.1 Mk2 (stereo in centre console, not dash) on the rail that ran above his HU (it was below in the Mk2). Hope that helps.
