Factory wiring

Postby Fez4MJ on Wed Jan 10, 2007 1:37 am

Hey.

Quick question... Ofcourse the factory speaker wiring, e.g on the front speakers, have a connector on em that you can buy an adapter for to convert so you can wire in coaxial speakers... Say I cut the factory connectors off and soldered the speaker wires from the coaxial speaker onto the factory wiring, would it have the same effect?

Reason I ask is because im wiring some speakers into a girlfriend's saxo and I cant find adapters for the factory wires on the rear speakers and I dont wanna yank out her stereo, so if I could solder the new wires into the existing wiring, it would be 100x easier.

Thanks :)

So basically you want to cut off the factory connectors and put on your own? Can't see anything wrong with that, go for it :)
