They did not work properly or nothing happens when you press brake pedal?

have you lowered your car or put bigger alloys on it??

if so chances are the the wheel has rubbed through one of the front flexable hoses and burst it!!

this has happened to me twice so far!!! very scary when it happens!!

best way to check for this is have someone in the car repeatidly pumping the peddle whilst you look under the front of the car at each wheel in turn to see if fluid is comming out!!

otherwise if it possably one of the back pipes that have burst, or a faulty servo!!

hope this helps!!

you either have a leak, could be pipe, wheel cylinder, or at worst a knackered master cylinder.

if the hoses have gone get braided, about £35ish and shouldn't wear out, also firm up the feel of the pedal

Firstly check the level of the fluid to see where it is in the reservoir.
If theres hardly in there, look for a leak, and that will be the problem.
Hoses as said, or caliper bleed nipples may have come loose or a leak from the master cylinder.

As mikey said if theres no leaks then maybe master cylinder has failed, or the servo.
