There are based in Bingham, near Nottingham.
Regarding using a 2.0l ecu on a different cc engine there are problems.
eg. MAF calibration data is wrong due to MAF size differences.
injectors calibration data is almost certainly different too.
Whilst KAM data aquired during closed loop operation will compensate to some degree, in open loop you almost cetainly will have fuelling problems.

thats the kinda thing i was thinking too.
did they sort ya out an RS1800 ECU? because as said above, the 2ltr item would work, and that i dont disagree, but i doubt it will be runnin as it was designed to.
what i would like to know is whether anyone has MOT'd an 130ps 1.8 running a 2ltr ecu

So you think if I swap MAF-sensor from 2L MOndeo engine the problemm will exist anyway?
Now I have MAF-sens. form 1.8 L mondeo no probs at all, maybe a little poor fuel and air ratio, but not sure, just look to my spurk plugs and they are completely white, not a little bit yellow..
But 1.8 l MAF-sensor form MOndeo is identical by size to 2l MAF.
Sorry for poor eng.

sailorbob :Whilst MAF sensor might look physically identical they are calibrated differently so it's always best to use the matching MAF to go with the ecu.
so its best to use a 1800 ecu with 1800 maf even if am running a 2.0?

sailorbob :If you are running a 2.0l then it's definitely best to use a 2.0l ecu and MAF.
which is matched to the 2ltr ecu you are using, ie, Desk, Deep, Dewy...

Just spoke to that Phil guy, he came across as a complete co ck. And he wanted £225 for an ecu.
Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.

Re: fao anyone looking for ecu's
on the 2.0l mondeo ecu the injectors and some other things are on different pins from the 1.8 ecu the loom needs to be modified in order to run the 2.0l ecu
there is a section in the guides forum that tells you how to do this it has a 2.0l ecu pinout chart, i got a haynes manual for the fiesta went to the wiring diagrams and made my own pinout chart for the 1.8 ecu by looking at them both together you should be able to see what mods you need to make to your loom in order the run the 2.0l ecu
faq-regarding-eec-iv-incl-8v-16v-turbo-na-vt93753/page35/
that is the link for the guide on that page somewhere it will explain how to do it
cheers
