Fast idle with clutch in while driving?
hi guys,
bit of an annoying one here, no matter what when i drive the car, if i put the clutch in the engine stays ticking over fast and when i come to a stand still it will gradually go down. but i could move the car the slightest bit and put the clutch in and the revs stay high and gradually come down?

id try cleaning the idle vale ,,the fact you dip the clutch when stationary is tricky to diagnose ,,Unplug the idle valve take it a spin and if its okay then clean the idle valve

hello,
thanks for the reply, iv'e solved it now, i have 5 idcv and all of um done the same, even after dipping them in petrol. well i went and got a can of pressured carb cleaner and blasted the idcv and it worked a treat so i guess petrol wouldn't cut it haha
