few issues with the fiesta rs turbo
hi peeps got a couple of issues with the fiesta rs turbo -
basically when i come to a stop when i am in gear with the clutch depressed i get a juddering, also there is a bit of a crunch and judder when the car goes into reverse gear, its not smooth to get into reverse!
also when i come to a stop the car will idle at about 2000rpm before taking some time to get down to idle speed again!
ive got an idea but want to hear your possible thoughts? best regards

Re: few issues with the fiesta rs turbo
Hmm, could be a few things really, basically what's been said already.
I think I would be tempted to start with a new clutch cable, mainly because there cheap (provided you don't go to ford for one!) and easy to fit.
Would also check the fork on the gearbox, I've seen these split around the spline and cause issues.
All that said if its doing it when warm but not cold its prob not that.
As for the idle problem when stopping, mine used to do it, then stopped by it self after checking countless stuff, however I did swap out the TPS around the time it stopped, so it could of been that.
But bare in mind, this time of year when the ambient temp is low, it can cause the idle speeds a Frst to sometimes act erratic

Re: few issues with the fiesta rs turbo
Problem is rob, getting a new one is going to be hard if not impossible, and any that are new or sold as recon may not be a proper FRST box.
Your be better off getting a ERST recon box and having the LSD, or sending your box away to be rebuilt
