few questions guys??
right i've just come back from a local track day and i was extremely disspointed with the performance of my frst... the best run i could manage with a extremely good start was a 16.2 with the following spec 1.8zvh, worked head, beige injectors, t3 conversion, double pace intercooler and 195 chip.
i know the chips not really suitable for the zvh but its been set up and works fine. what sort of times for the spec are anyone managing? i had a standard erst and could manage a 15.9! fair enough it has lsd but my starts were just as good with the frst to be honest. i even had a veteran track day guy try and he could only manage much the same..
would i be better going back to a 1.6cvh bottom end instead of this zvh? any ideas/advice much appreciated i am on a udget tho so cant go for massive zetec turbo full conversions etc! lol

Re: few questions guys??
Problem with the ZVH is most people that build them don't bother working the head correctly and as a result power and torque tails off sharply at about 5krpm. I would beinclined to Ian Howell a shout at Area Six and get him to sort your head. What cam are you using as this can play a big part. If it's a Piper 285T2 this will only compound the problem of the head. If the cam is standard is it healthy? A bigger intercooler would certainly help.
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
