Fiesta 1994 si turbo conversion

Problem or technical question?

Fiesta 1994 si turbo conversion

Postby Belky on Mon Dec 03, 2012 9:02 am

Hi there I am having a slight problem in wiring some standard ofab engine loom to the fiesta si car loom connector, I can get the car to fire but soon as it has used what ever fuel is in the rail after it primes it just cuts out.

Is there anyone who has done the same conversion?

And I know I should use new management but I'm just using this until February when I can get ofam unit from boost monkeys

I think it is possible it could be that I need to add some wires to the si loom connector
Please help :)

I just saw this... When you turn your key,do you hear the pump prime? Is it running for some seconds,is it running all the time or not at all?

it primes and will run for a few seconds then die out, but if i blip the throttle gently on low revs it will run rough n pop and bang until i stop, and for the wiring i haven't really got it sorted yet as i am about to concede :/ :(

Try the throttle position sensor ,does it idle and what engine U using have U a chip In the ecu

What did U do to the car before hand ,in not up to spec on your s.i loom so unsure if wiring is the problem is it a cvh turbo efi ,I think its a big 12pin plug to a 8pin plug for the ofa/bc and without a diagram I can't say foe sure but in sure there is 2wires need sorted for fuel ,
here's a a stupid thing to try put a wire from the ecu to the block and see how if it helps but without specs on engine and car its hard to tell

check for air leak around the injector seals, i had this problem and a few others here have also, replaced seals and problem gone, not saying its your problem but could be a good starting point
