Re: Fiesta 2.0 lx project
This thread is fairly out of date now. The biggest change is the interior which doesn't look very sleeper like now apart from the seat of death.
Full safety devices cage by the request of concerned parents.
And one for SMO now Thought I should get some of the rust removal done before winter kicks off, I will probably leave the other side till next year some time as it is not as bad.
Just got to hope it doesn't come back in 2 weeks. I also bought a full waxoylspray kit so I can try and stop the insides from progressing too quickly badly.

Re: Fiesta 2.0 lx project
Thanks, nothing is happening of recent. The bmw is in the way at the moment taking up my time (been working on it every weekend since last august). It's almost time to go around and sort the rust out again (front valance mainly) and sort the other lower rear arch out.I'm waiting for the summer for that though. Just coming round to show season again where it will be used again, I'm going ppc on the 19th so it will get it's first few track sessions of the year

I'll still have the fiesta for show and track days. It's still loads quicker than the bmw, although it doesn't handle as well.

Re: Fiesta 2.0 lx project
It's only a 1.9 although more powerfull that a 2.0 zetec as standard. With the series mods its rumored to be around 160bhp, but the weight is a bigger killer.
Anyway I might wash the car today, which would be the first one since before combe summer action day

Re: Fiesta 2.0 lx project
Went to a rolling road day with the sheriff today. The car was feeling a bit slow at ford fair so with this booked I checked the engine over and found a split in the inlet hose. I fixed that yesterday and this morning it was flying so in a good state.
Fueling
They said it looked generally good and it looked like it had v-tec at 4250rpm It's running a bit rich towards the top end dipping the power curve down.

very nice mark, you'l have to remind me of your engine mods, as all i can remember is a GTi inlet and lightened flywheel

Re: Fiesta 2.0 lx project
Cheers nick.
The only mods are 4-1 manifold and exhaust, 2.0 focus inlet manifold and a cone filter (likely to be a hinderance where it is though). It has a lighter flywheel but I doubt that will affect the reading anyway.

I'd imagine so, the inlet is only guaranteeing it gets the standard power really.
