Im really pleased with it, the figures are just over the book figures on a engine with over 80k miles built on a mega budget. Im sure there is plenty more power available once jenveys are fitted.

Well when mine was totally 130PS, standard exhaust manifold, cat, etc, apart from a K&N panel, it made 131.9 bhp at 6,887 rpm on the rollers which was probably a bit on the kind side. The operator was too scared to go further with it even though we were all trying to convince him to But yours is making about 10 bhp more than mine did as standard across most of the range, and the torque is certainly higher across most of the range too, by at least 10 lb-ft My max torque back then was 116.8 lb-ft. Given that it's not just the peaks that are better, I'd say that's a big improvement!

I'm a little surprised your power peaks that early though, or is that down to not wanting to map further due to the bit of smoke at high revs? If so, it probably had a bit more to give

Remember that the 2.0 Zetecs didn't make anywhere near the 130PS Ford claimed, so to surpass that is a genuine, appreciable gain, as you can probably feel!

especially as this is a 1.8! Very decent figure imho. Bearing in mind thats without nitrous as well! Its defo a quick car, might drive it again soon!

Oh! I asked Brian yesterday if it was a 2.0 on ITBs and he didn't tell me it was just a 1.8! It has done well then!

id wrap that four branch up, the intake is right above it, looks like it gets major heat soak

also 133bhp is a little low onsidering its 130 spec and got a four branch, and air filter

When you consider everything else Jony, it's a really good improvement. It's not just the peak increases

Two mappers have commented on it being a good figure, and the air filter will soon be relocated, not that its really making any difference there, particularly when it was on the dyno with bonnet open and a hurricane blowing against the engine bay. Even when running down the m25 yesterday the realtime display told me my IAT was 10 degrees.

Do bear in mind 130 'spec' does not equate to the car having 130bhp

Will be good to see what yours makes too! When i got to torque of the devil yesterday the first thing Andy said was 'ah, thats the one from Performance Ford', and asked if you were coming to the rolling road day on saturday but explained its a different car club, nice to be recognised tho!

good comeback ryan, jony has jumped on the usual bandwagon of the heatsoak brigade, even though he has no facts to back up his theory's
dont think he's ever been on a rolling road either to be telling you yours is a low figure,

he's in for a shock one day with his, my local club is running a rolling road day soon aswell which i posted on here for any fellow welshies
but no reply from him suprisingly, must have more blue bulbs he needs to spend his money on

yup, there is no heatsoak ssue there to speak of, its very helpful to be able to look at the act in realtime

The only serious restriction comes from the width of the pipe I think, something which will be sorted soon enough. I drove it for the first time in a while yesterday, and its very quick on the road.
