Fiesta Bonus - Zetec Turbo Update - Cooling update 31/7/13
Re: 1.8 zetec Bonus Dirtbox Sleeper - Santa Pod 24/10/10
Car really did get abused over sunday and monday, covering 300+ miles. For the downpipe to go was no suprise, the mild steel bit failed due to a combination of being sit, holding moisture because of the heat wrap, and being squashed by the jubilee clamp holding the wrap on. Just means we now have a better manifold on there, looks pretty handsome in the bay.

Re: 1.8 zetec Bonus Dirtbox Sleeper - 5/9 Nitrous oxide fitted
Rhinopower :When the pulsoids are used progressively they are pulsed on and off, so it would be a case of building a circuit that increases the pulses as the TPS goes from 0-5volts (the pulsoids run at 12volts). I think i should do a little bit of research
Should be quite simple to achieve tbh, program in load sites and use a pwm output to vary pulses - you'd need to know the dwell times on the solenoid though as those times have to be factored into the pulse lengths. blah blah blah etc
Nothing to see here...

I bought a proper controller from wizards themselves in the end, does a brilliant job!

Megasquirt is all fitted, just wants a little tweak so I can take it to torque of the devil on Wednesday for setting up on the rollers.

Yes, very useful. It just has me running mega rich so will check the required fuel settings etc see if that helps

Re: 1.8 zetec Bonus Dirtbox Sleeper - Santa Pod 24/10/10
Yeah, mine was running 1.8 injectors with a slightly faulty narrowband, so it was probably running a little leaner on mine, but at the same time it was difficult to tell accurately just how rich or lean it was running. My idle fuelling was probably the most out because the lambda heater wasn't functioning properly when the exhaust temps were dropping (as far as I can gather!) so I was having to do it all on sound and feel!

130 or 105 spec injectors? Could be the missing link

Re: 1.8 zetec Bonus Dirtbox Sleeper - Santa Pod 24/10/10
Turns out the mot is due so booked in for tomorrow and spent this evening prepping it, will get pictures up tomorrow once I have daylight
I've fitted the kenlow 10" front mounted fan, had to space the top of the radiator back slightly to make sure it all clears for now, although I do have a more permanent idea. I've also relocated all the wiring that runs along the bottom front of the radiator to the top to keep it all away from the heat of the st170 manifold.
Then mapping wednesday

Here are some random pictures I took today, of the st170 manifold, the nitrous install, the bay in general and the rad arrangement.
Enjoy them, enjoy them or I will sneak into your bedroom and piss in your hand while you sleep.

Yes 133, will scan graph in later. Runs very nice and feels a lot more than that. Chris Todd was very professional and unbiased despite being an omex dealer.
