Wouldn't bother with new bumpers, IMO the sleeper look would suit this car a lot better with it being a 5
door mate.

I reckon you should get all 4 s2's as well it'd make it look a lot tidier :)

dont bother with a 2.0 ecu, it wont run a 1.6

and vice versa, i once tried to get my car mobile using a 1.6 ecu and maf, wouldnt rev past 4k and misfired like a Bic™ below that, i think its the injectors that stop you using it, eitherway it wont work

in my advice, spend money on a servo before the calipers and discs, its far more effective for the same £30 you'd spend on a caliper/disc package

my escort servo is one of the best mods ive done if you ask me, then if you still feel you need some more stop get the 260's :D

New 2.0l eh? Care to elaborate how your going to do that?

Blacktop maybe but you'd very much struggle finding a new crate silvertop

When you rebuild the engine dont f**k it like you did before.
Was it in 'the bear' or something like that?

the 2.0 in the bear was fine Kev threaded one of the flywheel bolts and tbh easy mistake to make when you hand an impact gun to a newb but meh s**t happens
the running issues with the bear were down to a dodgy maf sensor and a wire that had melted I dynoed it and the engine was spot on
if your seriously only watching my thread to critise me and my car the GFU
I haven't got the time energy or patients all it will do its put me off posting the pictures of the progress
and this is one is going to be special and not needs

I'm not watching your thread to critisise,i was just saying build the engine right and dont let your 'mate' cross thread the flywheel bolts.
Now im eagerly awaiting this special build :)

That translates as 'its really to much work involved and it will look gash if i f**k it up'

You should do it, more doors look ace with the turbo skirts and arches :)

agreed though, stop messing and get it done!

also any reason you went for 25mm springs? surely 40 would have been better!

i've got lowered spax psx shocks and after all its a 5 door i take passengers in the car it not a track whore
I like having enough clearance on the wheels especially at full lock
Just sorted my engine going to collect next week
Trust me andy I'm building a very different machine
I had 60mm Pi springs on my first Si and handeled awesome
just need a cylinder head to do the porting on and then start the engine rebuild
Tbh I don't want to do rs skirts and arches at the moment i know how to do it from a build tread from like 4 years back yes im that old

well sorted the engine ecu arrived today
pickign up engine friday included 2.1 zetec 2.0 silver top which has been rebored
with arp con rod bolts , 2.0 head, cams, 5 new pistons, 4 piston ring sets
the guy broke one of the piston rings during instalation (hence the extra piston) and has decided to supercharger his westfield instead
so done a deal for the lot and i collect friday :D
then get all the gaskets, give a really good clean, port the head, get the head skimmed and then rebuild and run it in
