Fiesta MK3 Urgent
Hello,
The Car which you may already know. I've posted here because it is a mod, not just repairing? Hope I'm right?
MK3 Fiesta manufactured Nov 93, Reg Jan 94, LX, "L Plate" and is in middle of change over between MK3 and MK3.5, as in some parts from each" 1300 HCS, CFI 2 door hatch.
Have the following problem and can't find answer:
We have wired a FRST loom in to the 1300 HCS CFI engine loom, have chopped FRST loom in just the engine bay side of fuse box, (USED the FRST fuse box)
The Old HCS fuse box had a Fuel pump relay only, the FRST one has a FUEL PUMP RELAY and a FUEL PUMP DELAY RELAY. Problem: we can't start car as the fuel pump is on all the time. If you remove the fuel pump relay it has no effect at all, (we have replaced this in case it was faulty) if however you remove the fuel pump delay relay it cuts power completely, and pump stops working. There is fuel in car.
What I can't find in Haynes manual is the wiring diagram for both multi-plugs that connect the fuse box to the engine loom. That the the diagram for the HCS multi-plug and the FRST multi-plug, the one that comes from the fuse box in to the engine bay.
Any and All help on this greatly appreciated.

im having a very similar problem with mine been trying to find out the wiring diagram for ages, if i find out i will let you kno cos i hav a full loom in my bedroom that i am strippin to try and learn.

FezzyGTI :im having a very similar problem with mine been trying to find out the wiring diagram for ages, if i find out i will let you kno cos i hav a full loom in my bedroom that i am strippin to try and learn.
Still trying to find the problem, but can't find answers anywhere at present.
