Fiesta MK4 Ztec 1.25 Straight pipe worries
Hey guys, Just like to introduce myself, I'm Leif from Manchester/Sheffield way.
Having a few troubles. I am going to buy my first car next week, a Fiesta MK4 1.25 Ztec 16v.
I am buying this car from a mate of mine for £300, everything seems to be fine on it.
He's selling it as he hasn't got round to passing his test and needs the money. His brother has been doing some work on it and it looks, sounds and feels great.
Just a bit worried about one thing. They put a De Cat manifold 4-2-1 to straight pipe on it. And it sure does make her purr. but since there is no CAT or back box on it, it's ******* loud. Not a problem for me right now but the MOT and tax have just expired on it. So coming to the MOT will it pass for noise levels and emissions?
It's just that I will only have just enough to insure it and drive it. He knows a guy who will most likely put it through the MOT but I don't want to get pulled and risk damaging my licence since i'm 17 and that fall will hit me hard. He has got the original CAT and manifold but would love to keep the current system on.
Can anyone guide me in the right direction or has anyone been through this?
Any help will be much appreciated.
I also have a video giving it a quick rev to give you some idea.

You will get pulled with it sounding like that, and as far as I am aware they can take it there and then, it will fail the mot on emmisions, and I would fail it on noise aswell

Keep the manifold but add the cat in to the system
