You have hacked my mind

Im wanting the VR6 one but will need to see how well it fits the bumper without bending to much, to see how it can be molded

Has anyone any pics please of a bumper fitted with one?

I know Shell has a splitter :)

Luke

I have a VR6 splitter mate. Its not perfect, ie its a bit scuffed etc, i got it from some guy from the forum. Cant be bothered fitting it myself. I'll be visiting the workshop next weekend (22nd/23rd) if its of any use.

I've no idea if its been cut down, i havent even attempted to fit it yet. Its hung up in my wksp, in two pieces. I'll be able to get it next weekend (22/23).

IRRC its scuffed from previous use but I'm sure it could be cleaned up ok. All the original VW clip thingies are in place still.

I think i paid £25 delivered, i've unwrapped it and thats about it. £20 to your door and its yours.

Just found the link from where i bought it, pics included:

vr6-splitter-for-frst-rs1800-xr2i-vt167500/

(Edit - just seen where you are, just down the road. If you collect you can have it for £15)

Cheers mate, i shall let you know tomorrow morning, in my haste i asked a mate who works at a vag specialist so need to see what he has found tomorrow.

Many thanks for posting the pics, thats just the job that.

How exactly do they fit anyone??

Is it exactly the same shape on the corners or does this cutting etc.
Or does it just screw straight on. :Q

VR6 splitters are very easy to fit :)

The bend pretty good if you manage to drive them into anything  although because they are plastic to scuff pretty good too

I think the laguna splitter looks pretty smart as well, but obviously isn't as deep as the VR6 one.Personally
think the VR6 one looks tougher though and have one sat in the attic, all I need is a fiesta to put it on

Not the greatest pictures. Basically as above, you cut a section off each part of the splitter, so it joins up nicely in the middle. It fits the curves of the RS bumper quite nicely! I attached mine with a few self tappers...

If you want to go further, i think Rawli's was moulded into the original RS bumper and colour coded?

Couple of questions - please
first thanks for all your pics/comments

1- Are there 2 types of vr6 splitter an early and late... which is the above ?
2- Do you need to cut the fiesta bumper on the ends where the bumper drops down(where the standard fiesta splitter ends..

But if you make a swear jar, and your the only one putting the money in your not actually going to make any money

May i suggest getting someone to help or get someone else to do it, and then everytime they swear put the jar in front of them so they can put the money in, then just watch your small fortune emerge

You can do what Jon has done, cut a hole in the splitter.

Or if you don't cut a hole and it hasn't been smoothed in, you can always take it off :)

If you car was like Rawli's, you would just have to hope you don't need to use it at any point
