On the older pics it had original ford shocks and springs apart from that one front which as you point out looks orange and it was the lenght of the standard spring is 30cm and the spring on that side was 35cm havenet a clue what shock it was as the ride height was level. any way i like my cars low so opted for spax adjustables which are set to the hardest setting and lowered 60mm.
Thinking of changing the wheels but not sure what to go for?

can you tell me how to do it?
any way i had an operation two days ago and that got me down a bit.
i have been out in the garage this morning and removed all the rust on the roof which was only really bubbling paint nothing that bad which was good . Just needs filling and flattening back then primer filler .
Then do i paint the roof or carbon wrap it i know the car looks standard but i think it would look pretty good wrapped?
what you think?
I will try and do the water pump my self then send the car to the body shop to have the fuel cap area done. if any thing else goes wrong i can always brake it up.
so my head is screwed on again straight. :D

hardest part of doing the pump is thr timing mate, if you got your head around that its quite easy, take the timing belt off, remove the coolant pipes from the pump, let the water drain, undo the bolts holding the pump and it will come off with some persuasion, clean all the old gasket from the head as it will likely be caked on, use a piece of wirewool to scrub it off (or a brillo pad) drill bit wire attachment is my favorite

in the new pump kit you should get a new gasket, not done a cvh myself but im sure its very similar to a zetec, the gasket locates when you put the bolts through the pump, so do that before you put the pump on the head, so you know the gasket is flush and wont fall down, then get a few turns done on each bolt and tighten them up

then replace the belt and set your timing, if nothing else has moved it should aready be set but double check it before you crank it :D

and ofcourse fill the coolant back up, will require bleeding to get the air out, think you just leave the expansion tank cap off, get the caqr to operating temps, and leave the heaters inside the car on full speed and highest temp for a few mins, watch the tank for bubbling, once the bubbles stop your bled

(personally i drive around the block at low speeds for a few mins with the cap left off, as it takes it a while to get to running temp on tick over
