Fiesta RS Turbo, Blue Boost Hose Querie
Hi,
Im new to this forum and to Fiesta RS Turbo's, buying my first fiesta RST in January.
The Fiesta has the T3 set up but i want to put it back to 100% factory standard as that is what i like, but while looking through pictures of standard cars around the engine bay I noticed on some cars that the blue 90 degree boost hose is silicone on some but marked 'Ford' and on others they are blue rubber. My car is December 1991 so whitch one will be correct for my car?
Any info my way would be a great help

Re: Fiesta RS Turbo, Blue Boost Hose Querie
A standard fez turbo came with two standard blue rubber ford embossed hoses.
They were located on the top of the turbo (90') and one on the bottom of the intercooler (straight). The light blue standard ford embossed hoses had a habit of ending up without writing as this perished over time.
You might also be referring to a few standard looking cars with upgraded blue silicon hoses.

The one I saw was silicone and had Ford on it, not Samco. I have seen a few like this. I have just purchased both blue ones in rubber. Both original Ford. I also have another type of hose for the bottom of the intercooler, it is black with two stainless rings around it, it has the same number on it as the bottom blue hose I have, anyone seen this one?

Im fairly certain the blue hoses arent silicon but look silicon, theyre a different type of coated rubber in blue.
The black hose that you are talking about, has a ribbed look to it??...If so i think that they were for the european market. When i was in spain i ordered what i thought was a new blue bottom hose (same finis code) and received the ribbed black one with the stainless clips.

Oh is that what the black one is, I have just bought both the blue boost hoses from Italy, I though the two different types ofbottom hoses were off different year of cars. I also though with all the T3 conversions that have been done to these cars that there would be plenty standard T2 parts available but i was very wrong lol, where have all these parts gone?
