Fiesta RS Turbo **feature car**
For sale is my Fiesta RS Turbo, it has a very high spec and all work has been done to a very high standard. I have owned the car for a short time after buying it from a fellow RS Owners club member. Over the past 9 years the car has done on average 2000 miles per year (yes, two thousand) and has lived in a heated garage and has been used for Ford shows, RSOC meets and local car shows and events, and that's about it. I took the car to this years Ford Fair where it got a lot of attention from people.
On first glance it just looks like a very clean, standard Fiesta RS (which are getting very rare these days, especially in this condition). The underside is very clean, and very solid. Car starts first time, everytime with no smoke, rattles and is always warmed up and left to idle after a run. The car is also always run on Shell V-Power or Tesco 99 (which it was set up to run on). The engine has covered roughly 3000 miles since it was fully rebuilt, but was recently set up by Jamsport where it produced 204bhp and 210 ft.lb torque running 14 PSI. The car does not "pink" or detonate even after a hard drive, the sign of a well put together, well set up and strong engine!
The car pulls strongly, and handles nicely without any pulling from the steering. I had the car's wheel alignment checked and adjusted when I bought the car, and also had a new front suspension arm fitted as the old one had slight play in it.
I am selling the car due to starting up my own business, and want to free up some money and as much as I love the car, I feel it would be better being sold to someone who has the time to really enjoy it.
I will also add, I have fitted the side stripes back onto the car, these are not on all the pictures but are on the last two - adding to it's originality and I personally feel, making the exterior look a lot more sporty and eye catching. These stripes are very rare now, and you've not been able to get them from Ford for many years, these are in good condition and fitted straight and correctly.
There are no real bad points about the car, it is good on fuel (considering the spec and performance), is cheap to run (classic insurance and lower road tax bracket). The car has no history of any accident damage, the fuel filler cap is rust free and solid. The rear arches are also both solid (common fault with fiestas) however the drivers side rear arch has a very, very small spot of surface rust which you have to really look for to notice, it has been this way for the past 4 years without any change. There are also some very light surface rust marks around the sunroof, however these have not bubbled, have not gone through the paint and have also been this way for the past few years without any change. It would not cost much to sort these bits out, and you would then have a near-concourse highly spec'd rare original Fiesta RS Turbo.
Interior is in excellent condition, the carpets are like new with no wear marks or stains, the same with the seats. (Drivers side piping has very small wear mark but nothing to worry about). Car comes with a Pioneer cd head unit, with uprated speakers all round. All the electrics work as they should, as do all the lights, switches etc.
The car has a clifford remote alarm system and immoboliser fitted, however the siren does not work. As the car is kept locked in my garage I never bothered to do anything about this, it works and complete alarm systems are not expensive these days. I have two alarm remotes, and all the keys for the vehicle (1 original and 2 spare keys) all the keys are the same, and the car has it's original petrol cap still (also, rare).
I am asking a fair price for the car, considering its specification, the work undergone and the fact that these cars are not easy to find in nice condition these days. The car has won numerous awards over the years, and these trophy's and awards will be included in the sale. A real testament to it's former owner!
I also have a folder FULL (and I mean full) of all the work done on the car over the past 9 years and beyond, most parts are all genuine Ford apart from the up-rated items, all with receipts. The car also has full Ford main dealer service history with the service book fully stamped up.
I will consider part exchanges. I have the complete V5 and it is in my name,
No time wasters, and no test pilots. Test drives can only be given with proof of insurance that needs to be seen by myself. Buyer to pay cash (not paypal or cheque or anything else).
THE CAR IS ALSO BEING FULLY FEATURE IN PERFORMANCE FORD MAGAZINE, THIS HAS BEEN ARRANGED BY THE MAGAZINE AFTER THEY CONTACTED ME WANTING TO FEATURE THE CAR. IF THE CAR SELLS BEFORE THIS, THEN THE MAGAZINE CAN BE CONTACTED AND THE FEATURE CARRIED OUT AT THE NEW OWNERS CONVENIENCE.
