All depend's or who built the engine and how much money you have to spend it's some time's easyer to find a bottom end already done to cut cost Andy H had a 1.9 tall block complete for around 1K new you would be looking at 2-3k which would be a case of a swap for your 1.6 but then you need to look at the management to go with the engine which ever way you go you can get a mapped chip for you 1.9 By grove for £250 2.5bar map sensor about £60 injectors around £260 and the will have to be set up with pushing out that much you will need a stage 2+ gearbox about 1k and 4 paddle clutch around £300 bigger intercooler should be a F.M.IRS_seg :hi i newly got a frst and i want to run about 250bhp.

Keep it CVH and build it properly. You're off to a non starter with teh T" cam as it's rubbish. Best off going with a Newman or Kent CVH 35.
A real 250bhp build is going to cost a lot of money and will require a swap in management as the OFAB/OFAC setups can't cope much past 210bhp

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

i think a proper 1.6 cvh is the way forward, i ve gone for a 2.1zvh motor only as they are easier to get the power gains for not as much money as it takes to get power from the 1.6 reliably etc!!!
the t2 cam is tug get a newman cam or the kent variety!
