Fiesta rs turbo rebuild

Postby tom9876 on Wed Jan 16, 2013 7:17 pm

As the last couple of fiesta turbo's ive bought have turned out to be totally dogs i picked up a other shell atthe weekend off matty872 . it needs sill both front wings and a front panel as im being fussy .

the bootlid had started to rot along the bottom edge so this has now been changed with my other one . the front bumper had been cut out for a grs intercooler so this has also been changed for my other bumper .

the front wings are now on order the front panel i already have and the sills which matt had already bought

Image

floors look all good

Image

engine bay looks good aswell

Image

also have this intercooler to go on aswell so no cutting the front bumper

Image

i have a new pair of gen ford wishbones for the front 6 pot tarrox brakes i have also ordered polybushe's for the rear beam and anti roll bar .

engine wise will be a fully rebuilt engine with a ported head and cosworth t3 turbo

will update as i go along

Good shell that one apart from the little bit of rust! Suspension on it used to be on my blue one.

Good to see another one being saved, doesn't look like it needs too much work. As others have said, the intercooler looks good :)

Where to start well its black so its off to a really good start :) :)

sell those massive 6 pots mate cos you deffo wont need them with just a cvh and spend the cash you get from them on a nice set of pistons you already have a nice set of con rods HEY my mate might have a set of acralte pistons ,,I am sure he has what size are the cvh pistons :-? :-?

anyhow "your" car :D :D
I just think that those brakes are massive and with those comp you could put standard disks on and it wont matter because of the rims they are lovely on a frst Are you keeping them white ,, after the damage your sister done to that 1

lol the brakes look big in the pic but he discs are only 280mm i wanna do a few trackdays in it this year and they were cheap lol . dunno if to leave the comps white or do them yellow or black . . unsure on what size the pistons are will have a measure up later . have finished sorting the loom out so will get that fitted up today maybe
