some have, but i dont see the point, you can adjust the oil pressure on a std pump anyway, but its nott he pump thats the problme, the cvh suffers from poor oil circulation on the far said of the head and always has, although in most cases it doesnt present a problem.
also, ford have been known to have cam probelsm on other engines in the past too, could be crap cams, oil problems bad desgin etc...
if the cam goes again on my engine then its game over imo, i aint gunna waste any more time, effort and money on it, i'll prob bung a cheap cam in and use the car as a daily or maybe, build a zetec turbo engine for it, but thats a long way off, ill get it sorted this time and i will make a point of driving it more, or starting it up more ofton, and i wanna get a really good oil for it, magnitec would be good as it stands more than it drives, but they dont do it in a fully synthectic so i have to look into this more.

i think really i was just one of the unlucky ones with a iffy cam, even though my old cam did wear out on a couple of lobes, i think that was due to couple of tappet breaking down due to getting a good thrashing (dont have a dog and bark ya self after all) plus it was a cam that was fitted when the car was built...
tanyhow, he oil pressure was fine and always seemed to be fine before the rebuild (untill the cam went and took out a big end), so had no cause to change the pump as it worked fine, but i should of put a brand new oil pump on it when i rebuilt it anyway, so thats my fault, but i still belive the cam was the main problem as theres been others that have has therte kent one go, and they have replaced the cam and nothing else and theres are still going fine

venoums were nice, but they became too popular too quick and i ended up hating them.
egg nog is just toss
and frst rims, well ive seen worse put it that way, but they still aint for me, although the ones clark has do look better than the normal one, clark has very very very early FRST wheels which had dimples drilled/cast into the dark grey bit where as the later ones had them smooth, so i would rather have the very early ones if i went back to std wheels

these are the very early frst wheels i mean, i could have them on my rs, but not the normal ones, i might even mod a std set to be like this for future events

standard or mo's are the best rims for the frst IMO.

Glad you made your mind up about the cam Jay. Is there any chance that there could be some issue with your head not supplying enaugh oil were is should do but your oil pressure sensor no picking it up as it takes the reading from elsewere. Could be worth investigating when you get the head off. And has noone come up with a solution to the problems with the head like machining some of the oilways a little more open or could that have an adverse effect on pressure??

Anyways look forward to seing it back o0n the road again mate.

i dont think its a oil feed problem on my engine, when i stripped it first time nothing was blocked or gummed up and it was all cleaned through prior to the rebuild, so maye it was a intermitant fault with the oil pump and it lost a bit of pressure :-? i dunno, but i got my oil pressure gauge plumbed into the T that feeds the turbo oil and also what the std ford oil pressure switch goes into, so i dont think theres a issue there, but when the engine is out its being fully stripped for inspection to see if there is something going on, but i dont see the need for any machine work.

i also look forward to it being back on the road, i really do miss it :(

the early wheels thing will have to go to clark, i belive it was him that first found them, or was it me that showed them to him on ebay, i forget now, but it was discovered by one of us, but before then, i didnt even know about them, but they do look a lot better than the run of the mill "std" ones dont they.
i will be sure to take a pattern of the holes before clark takes his car back, and i will knock a jig up to drill them on "std" wheels and ill bang a set out somewhere and stick them in the loft

i reckon it came down to cost more than anything, maybe it was a few pennies more to make one liek that

but i deffo reckon they look better than normal, although they would suit a red one far better than a white one :Q
