jayrs :enough room to sit and have a smoke or dance about to the radio while having another smoke
worst bit about it is there isnt much room where i have the kettle and the tea bags etc
I think we now know why it's so long since you drove it

small update.
due to lack of money at the mo ive not done to much to the car, but theres other bits im doing at my uncle in the workshop which isnt to do with the car so its not a waste going over when i can.
anyhow, last week i primmed the back panel and passanger sill, i am stone chipping them, and painting them red again with the car, some might think its not worth it but i do, not for any reason though
for some reason it reacted with the primer last week (only the back panel though ), it was a hand paint on primer as the spray primer was near out, and all i can think is mabey the primer i used was a celly primer, who knows but it went like a wet tissue, and it had 2 days to dry before i stone chipped, anyway i scraped it all off and flatted it back today when i went out i got a couple of cans of spray primer on the way and primmed it all up, being cold it took a while to dry, not as long as normal as i helped it along with a hair dryer .
after doing some bits in the work shop for a hour it was fag time then stone chip time, and this time it was fine.
only got a couple of pics as it not majour is it
dunno what happend to the passanger side, side pic, its not on my phone

That's the stuff I've spent the last three days cursing myself for not ripping everything off my Mk3 and stonechipping/undersealing/waxoyling every last part of the car that isn't Radiant Red and visible Get on it dude, protect the wee bugger!

FRSJON :sorry about last night msn wouldnt work ??? (pc virgin ) ...what you got left to do to the car is it just painting ??? nead a hand with anything???
thats ok mate no worries.
cheers for the offer mate but im good at the mo dude, as for what needs doing, still got wing to put on and lower front valance, gotta change the doors and fit new boot lid, but i still gotta get the door/s and boot lid.
im changing to mk3.5 doors as the holes are already bigger to take the mk3.5 mirros plus they got side impact bars in, and thanks to ols people and the wife, i have door/car park dents in them.
boot lid is being changed do to a some surface rust on the lip, nothing majour but its gone/going between the outer skin lip and inner part of boot, no point painting it up just fior rust bubbles to come through in a year or what ever.
once ive got the bits, if its warm enough or i can get it warm enough i will paint the door and boot shut along with passange sill and rear panel, then all i gotta do is turn it rounsd, prep and stone chip the drivers sill and do the door shut, then its ready for full spray.
oh and do the inside of the new doors and boot.
but untill ive got some money from somewhere to buy the paint and found somewhere to spray it it will stay preped and ready till the time comes for a few top coat layers
dont sound much work, but due to being cold, and no money its taking its time for what should be done in a couple of days really
oh and btw, your have to make the holes in your doors bigger to take the mk3.5 arm, so dont think its a quick 10 min job changing them when ya come to do it

the whole under side of my car was fully stone chipped and sealed as you know, took about 4 litres of it, maybe 5 i forget now.
i know people say stone chip isnt as good as the under seal but i left the under seal on my car and stone chipped over it.
i know how that sounds but there was nothing wrong with it, any area that looks a little sus i scrapped off and checked, mainly was along the floor to silll, but i then put a good couple of layers of under seal along the floor edge over the top of the stone chip, nothings get through that focker
i still got to make a end up for a hose i got for the stone chip gun for when i wax, i got a litre of wax and the end is gunna be made so i can poke it up the seals from rear panel end and when sprayed it would come out 360, like a kids drawing of the sun if that makes sense, and pull it along to give insides of sills a nice thick coat of wax.
i would imagin the can spray stuff i put in there years ago just sat at the bottom.
oh almost forgo, i gotta take my heater out at some point too to replace the sound deading stuff, oh the joy

Looking good. I myself am starting a similar restoration, on a tight budget.
As soon as i have money for parts/paint, and some for my mate, it'll be done asap.
