well as some of you will know, i made fordfair today with no problems, well a vac hose popped off just before going in, but thats fcuk all as it was back on is 2 seconds

she drives mint, i really have missed driving her, and ive also missed the power, not that i can use it due to running it in but she just wants to get on and you just know its there, well i should i fudgekin built it after all

right some pic's

just after the MOT

Image

washed it and hoovered it at parents place, manily due to things had to be left to get it to MOT and i went back out that way to finish things off as parents only live a mile from where it was being done up, but you can see its getting dark and dew was forming on the car so decided against trying to polish and wax it, but still didnt stop me doing bits when i got home at 10.20pm, came in at about 12.30am, and got to bed at 1.15, i know see what everyone is on about wth the rushing sorting thngs before the shows and not having enough time etc

Image

these are the only 2 pics i got of it at ford fair, didnt really seem to getmany pics over all tbh, but if anyone took any pics of me car please post them up, the phone cam is a bit crap and its ment to be 5MP :x

Image
Image

was good to see the people i spoke too, and sorry to the people i missed, will catch us next time, and hopfully ill have time to give it a bit more TLC before the show to get it up to scrach as i wasnt really 100% happy with it today, but it was there i guess.

i cant wait mate.

set up wise, i will get it done at some point but i see no reason why it "needs" one, its chipped with a 195 chip, beiges, uprated fuel pump, actuator, intercooler, only thing thats different from the last set up is the fact its has .5 over size pistons, not that that will make any differenace, but it now has a kent cvh35 came, where as i had worn standard one in last time, but tbh i cant see it making up difference running it now withough a set up, but as i say ill get it done, i'll get her giving me every pony power shes got :bonkers:

That would be typical. It could just be that something needs pinching up a little more if your lucky thaugh. Or it could just be that paranoid feeling you get when you have just mended your car and it "doesn't feel right" if you know what I mean.

Hopes you get it sorted.

The car looked stunning on those pics by the way.

i think it might be the old, take the arm off, put it back on and its fine thing.
i know the rule of thumb is put them on, leave them loose, put car on deck then tighten but ive not done it that way and never had a problem.
well i did on a mates car when i done it like that and that sort of behaved the same as my rs but far worse, and i took them off and put them back on, again without lowering to the floor and it was fine, which is what i think needs doing to my RS, now they have had time to be "used" they should seat right, but dare i say it, there not ford arms, nor are they QH arms (which as just as good as fords) i forget the make now, but if i didnt trust them they wouldnt be fitted i asure you

i'll get the tracking checked at some point just to make sure its still ok, but ill sort the arms first, few years back i had a gen ford FRST arm that didnt even last a week due to a fault so will check it fully out, but i know nothing is loose as i checked everything before MOT

The paint on it looked very good Jay. Can't help but say though it really does need the standard front bumper on it, especially as its still green striped.

Yea hopefully will just be the take off and re-fit job mate.

I would say the cossie bumper makes this car stand out from the rest. I do think it will look better when you get the mondy alloys on and it just happens that the ones on at the moment look better on the xr2 anyways IMO.

Have you given any more thaught to fitting green stripes to the cossy bumper in some way, shape or form??? :Q
